[From Spring 2002]
A new face will soon be seen in our Maintenance Department with the addition of Alice "Charlene" Swartz, as our new Tractor Operator. Charlene comes to us from the National Park Service/Assateague Island National Seashore, where she is currently a Motor Vehicle Operator. Her report date is scheduled for March 10, 2002. Charlene is a native Chincoteaguer. She currently resides in Oak Hall, Virginia, with her husband, a son and a daughter.
Amanda Avery will soon be joining the Refuge team as a Wildlife Biologist. Amanda is a recent graduate of Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Virginia and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Student Career Experience Program (SCEP). She is currently working as a Wildlife Biologist at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Newburyport, MA. Amanda's scheduled report date is April 21, 2002.
