[From Spring 1996]
Volunteers are invited to attend the second annual Earth Day activities on Saturday, April 20th, at the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, announced Refuge Manager, John Schroer.
Volunteers will assist refuge staff in planting trees to re-forest areas of the refuge that were cut in an effort to stop the infestation of the Southern Pine Beetle.
If you'd like to help, meet at the refuge sub-headquarters parking lot at 9:00 a.m. Bring gloves, shovels, sun screen, lunch, and something to drink.
