Staff Changes at CNWR

As the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge approaches the turn of the century, our Public Use staff has literally taken on new faces. Angela Tracy and Jennifer Lundin have joined the Chincoteague refuge team and are diligently working to provide our more than 1.4 million visitors with the highest quality wildlife-oriented education and recreation programs found anywhere along the eastern seaboard!

Angela Tracy comes to CNWR from southern New Jersey where she worked for an Ecological Services field office as a Communications Specialist. Angela has nearly ten years of experience with the Department of the Interior and has held public affairs positions on former Secretary Lujan's staff as well as the North American Waterfowl Management Plan office in Arlington, Virginia. Although her area of expertise is media and congressional relations, she brings a positive, can-do attitude to the Public Use staff and is determined to build a new Visitors Center that will accommodate the refuge's growing demand for public education and recreation.

Jennifer Lundin comes to CNWR from Panama City, Florida, where she too worked out of an Ecological Services field office. Jennifer is a fisheries biologist by training. However, after working on several environmental education programs in Panama City, she found her calling and is now pursuing a career where she can utilize her fisheries expertise in an educational mode. Jennifer is bright and enthusiastic and will be leading our environmental education program with the National Park Service this spring.

The Refuge will be adding another Outdoor Recreation Planner to the Public Use team sometime in late Spring, boasting the first time in three years that the program has been fully staffed. This means more quantity and quality of programs for you, your families, and our global community. So stop by sub-headquarters and meet the staff. We are always glad to hear from you, looking forward to bridging the gaps in the refuge Public Use Program, and building smooth avenues of cooperation as we face a bold new era in Chincoteague refuge history.
