Searching for Volunteers

[From Spring 1997]

Eastern Shore Refuge has had volunteer help from as far away as Scotland, but we also need help from people in the local community.

The following are some of the activities and projects available for volunteers:

Staff the information desk at the Visitor Center
Develop and conduct environmental education programs for students, civic groups and the general public
Design wildlife exhibits and flyers
Assist with the development of a lab for environmental education
Assist with bird banding
Conduct wildlife surveys
Conduct trail maintenance and habitat management
Repair and clean nesting boxes
