Wildlife Learning Exchange

Ron McAdow, a member of the Friends of Oxbow NWR, is building a place on the internet for anyone interested in wildlife to share information. The current preliminary version of the Wildlife Learning Exchange can be viewed at: http://www.wlex.org .

Mr. McAdow is looking for folks who would be willing to contribute pictures, artwork, digital sound recordings, or accounts of observations. The Exchange needs pictures and sound clips of North American mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates, plus images of animal signs such as tracks or scat. Pictures, art, sound and observational contributions may be sent to: rmcadow@tiac.net . Prints or slides can be sent to the address below. Digital images should be in JPEG format, not more than 500 pixels wide (500 is the best width, but narrower pictures are also okay), and not more than 450 pixels high. For each photo please provide the subject, date, & location. For each item of artwork, please identify the artist, medium, subject, and year created.

The purposes of the Wildlife Learning Exchange are to:

1. Create an educational web site where children and others can find information about wild animals of North America.

2. Publicize the importance of preserving natural lands as wildlife habitat.

3. Benefit wildlife photographers, artists, and sound recordists by publishing their work in a context that maximizes its educational value and increases its visibility.

You may write, phone or e-mail Mr. McAdow at:
