[From Fall 2003]

CNHA Wants Your Supermarket Receipts!

Effective September 1, 2003, CNHA has been enrolled in the "Fresh Pride Community Fund," a program that will give CNHA a cash contribution of 1% of the value of Fresh Pride grocery store receipts we collect from our members, supporters and friends.

Camelia Food Stores, Inc., is a regional food store chain with Fresh Pride, Food City, and BeLo grocery stores located on the Delmarva Peninsula and in the Tidewater Virginia area. Since we have a sizable number of members living in the areas served by these stores (and members can also collect receipts from friends and neighbors), CNHA could receive a substantial contribution - SEND US YOUR RECEIPTS!

The program is administered on a quarterly basis, with the first period of CNHA participation covering receipts we collect that are dated from September 1, 2003, through November 30, 2003. Subsequent periods will cover December 1, 2003, through February 29, 2004 (yep, it's a leap year!), and March 1, 2004, through May 31, 2004. We must submit our collected receipts by the 15th of the month following each period (i.e., 12/15, 03/15, & 06/15). So, it's important to get your receipts to us promptly.

Please drop them off in the collection box that will be in the CNHA sales areas, or mail them to:

CNHA participation in this program is the result of the efforts of CNHA Business Manager, Lynn Talbot. Lynn is hoping this program might help offset the significant reduction in sales income and loss from tour operations that we incurred as a consequence of the dismal tourist season.
