Fall Happenings

As the summer season fades away, Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge will continue to have a variety of activities for our visitors. The Refuge will be offering a variety of guided walks and auditorium programs throughout the fall season and conducting two special events. The first of these events will be National Wildlife Refuge Week, celebrated on Saturday and Sunday, October 9th and 10th from 9am - 4pm. This celebration will include guided walks, auditorium programs, wildlife art exhibits and demonstrations, family activities, and refreshments.

During the peak of the fall migration, Waterfowl Week will be celebrated Thursday, November 25th through Sunday, November 28th. This celebration will also include guided walks and auditorium program and will feature the opportunity to drive the Service Road from 9am - 3pm.

For more information about fall programming and special events please contact the refuge or stop by the visitor center.
