CNHA has applications for the 2006 season for use of the oil shed at the lighthouse for art shows. The art show hours are the same as the lighthouse: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Easter thru Thanksgiving.

The artists that have used the oil shed in the 2005 season for the art shows have responded very favorably to having the oil shed reopened. Sales have been good for the artists. Both the visitors and artists enjoy talking with each other about the lighthouse and the refuge. Artists that have been at the oil shed so for in the 2005 season are Donnie Thornton, Barbara Kelly, Diana Davis and Rose Taylor. Other artists that are scheduled are Kelly Lidard, Ron Hugo, Karen Pruitt, Barbara Schmitz, Jenny Somers and Dorothy Camagna.

Visitation at the lighthouse has been over 13,000 since the opening of the March 2005 season. All proceeds generated from the lighthouse will help fund the restoration, preservation and maintenance of the lighthouse.
