Piping Plover on the Internet!

Shortly after becoming a CNHA member this summer, Robert Jobin contacted me and offered to put back issues of The Piping Plover on the Internet along with information on how to become a CNHA member. Well, I was ecstatic. I had fleetingly thought about the CNHA having a site on the Internet. But, since I'm just a little "technologically challenged," barely coping with the software necessary to produce this newsletter, the thought of trying my hand at HTML, frames, etc., exited my brain faster than my Mac Power PC with Speed Doubler could empty the Trash.

However, it seems Mr. Jobin is an old hand at developing web sites for the Virginia Community College System as well as several local Eastern Shore sites featuring Assateague and Chincoteague (e.g. see The Assateague Naturalist at http://www.assateague.com).

No sooner had I e-mailed Mr. Jobin my enthusiastic response, than a demo site for The Piping Plover appeared on the web. I'm now in the process of getting back issues sent to Mr. Jobin, along with our new membership structure and dues information (see article on page 3) and an updated mail order brochure.

By the time this issue reaches you, we hope to have several back issues up. The site is viewed best with a browser that supports frames, and can be found at: http://www.assateague.org/plover
