Birding Trail Dedicated

The first section of the Virginia Coastal Birding and Wildlife Trail was dedicated by the Commonwealth's Secretary of Natural resources, William Woodfin, on October 4, 2002, during the 10th Annual Eastern Shore Birding Festival. With over 150 sites, the Coastal Birding Trail includes 18 driving rout "loops" from Great Falls to Chincoteague. The Eastern Shore loop has 18 sites in Accomack and Northampton counties.

Harborton Landing
Wachapreague Marsh
Willis Wharf

Seaview Farm
Cape Charles
Kiptopeke State Park
GATR Tract
Eastern Shore National Wildlife Refuge
Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel - Islands
