[From Winter 1999]
On December 11, 1999 the staff and volunteers of CNWR held their annual Christmas party at Steamers Restaurant. We enjoyed an excellent meal of beef tenderloin, chicken, shrimp & oysters. Entertainment was provided by DJ Jimmy Lewis and karaoke by the staff. Over 80 people enjoyed the evening. It was a great way to be together and celebrate this festive season with friends and co-workers.
A very special thanks goes to Kelly Conklin for providing his restaurant and an excellent meal. Sally Bowden is to be commended for organizing this year's event. A special thanks is due the following local merchants for their donations of door prizes: Ashley's of Chincoteague Island, The Brandt, The Country Goose, Island Arts, Island Roxy, The Osprey Nest Art Gallery, Refuge Motor Inn, White's Copperworks, Scaasis, and The Original Lighthouse Company (Neptune, NJ). Their generosity was duly noted by attendees and contributed greatly to a wonderful evening.
